An identity to treasure

Queenscliff Pirates Cricket Club are a fictional club located in the Bellarine Peninsula. They compete in local Club and Twenty20 competitions, fielding men's and women's teams. Pixel Ninja Creative designed the identity for the club, incorporating the romanticised Pirate mythology commonly found in fictional media.

Brandishing two metal cricket bats with golden cutlass-inspired handles, the Pirates mascot — Bluebeard — is portrayed to be a menacing and fearless captain with fierce determination to send his competition to the bottom of Davy Jones' Locker.

The wordmark continues the pirate theme as a treasure map is used to enclose a nautical-inspired font.

The club's colours reflect what is means to be a Queenscliff Pirate — Navy blue for the dark depths of the ocean and Queenscliff's coastal locale, red for each cricketer's preparedness for battle, and gold for it is what every Pirate fights for.
